Originally from Rossland BC, Canada, Jill Amantea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the School of Contemporary Dancers in affiliation with the University of Winnipeg. She graduated as a student of highest distinction on the Dean’s Honour List and was also awarded with a Gold Medal of Achievement. Currently based in Toronto, ON, Jill performs professionally for numerous live shows and events with MM Entertainment, TDC Entertainment, and the Dance : Corps Company. She has performed professionally with Disney Cruise Line aboard both the Disney Fantasy and the Disney Wonder as well as with Club Med Resorts as a dancer and choreographer in both the Dominican Republic and Mexico. As a contemporary dancer, she has performed for the Ice and Fire Festival, Stephanie Ballard and Dancers, and the opening gala for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. In addition to Musical Theatre performance, Jill has additional experience as a choreographer and dance captain with the Gold Fever Follies. She has studied various dance forms including: Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Tap, African, Aerial Silks, Hip Hop, Highland Dance, Bollywood/Traditional Indian Dance, as well as basic Ballroom Dancing. Studying under many internationally renowned instructors and choreographers, she has trained at Kootenay DanceWorks, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Salzburg International Ballet Academy, and Decidedly Jazz DanceWorks.
