This exercise includes quick footwork that challenges you to stay on the balls of your feet so that you can articulate the footwork quickly, and accurately, without losing the groove in the body. It incorporates quickness, articulation, and grooves.

Notes
  • Stay on the ball of your feet for this exercise with your knees bent. This will allow you to move at a quicker pace, while staying grounded.
  • Don't forget about the groove! You want to always make sure you continuously keep the groove in your body, do not get so focused on the moves that it becomes robotic.
  • Make sure when thinking of getting low that you don't only bend your knees, but you actually think of becomming grounded with your whole energy. Leaving your spine upright, while bending your knees doesn't make you as grounded as if you put your full body energy into it.
