This exercise is great to get used to using the opposite side of your body to assist in movement. When you are turning to the right, it is helpful to push with the left side of the body and vice versa.

Notes
  • Make sure the lower back goes to the floor every time you go around. If you are having trouble with this, lift the legs higher off the floor.
  • The more comfortable you get with this exercise, challenge yourself to create more of an arc with your arms as you are taking them out and around over your head (start them closer to your legs and finish close on the other side).
  • If you get stuck as you are rolling over, concentrate on creating the momentum with the push of the body, not the arms.
  • Don’t forget to breathe and smile!
