Chaîné turns are traveling steps, where your weight transfers from one foot to the other at the same time you are turning. There are two types of chaînés: low and high (ballet).
Notes
- In the low chaîné, levels do not change, legs are parallel, bent and together. It is engaged by a turned out second in plié.
- The "ballet" chaîné is executed with straight legs. Feet are turned out in first ballet position while turning.
