This is an exercise to help you release your hips, knees, and ankles as you execute hop flaps. You will be zig-zagging as you travel forward forcing you to keep everything condensed.

Notes
  • Treat this exercise as if you are peaking over a cliff. This way your footwork is always under or directly behind your center of gravity.
  • Always include your upper body to give you that extra breath up for the twist and hop flaps.
  • Your ultimate goal is to make sure you have space between your fl-ap sounds.
  • Give more accent to the downbeat of the fl-'ap'.
  • Keep crisp and light in the back of your head at all times.
