This across the floor is an introduction to fan kicks. Starting low with a rotation of the body, using weight changes preparations, and ending with the fan kick.
Notes
- Use a deep pliƩ for all preparations.
- To unwind, push off your back leg, straighten your supportive leg quickly, and use your obliques (side abdominal).
- When fanning your leg from one diagonal to the other, make sure to keep your your turn out - if your hip goes up you are most likely turned in. Keep reaching high with your torso, don't slouch.
