DANCER CHOREOGRAPHER TEACHER Laura’s industry career spans thirty years in film, television, stage, concert, and festival as dancer, educator, choreographer, and producer of venues that include productions on HBO, FOX, NETFLIX, HULU, NBC, CBS, stages at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Carmel Arts Festival, SAG Media Awards, St Jude Children’s Hospital, and more. Laura has given master classes and adjudicated throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and online. She is Founding Director of Ignite Dance Workshops nonprofit and award-winning production “Move It Or Lose It” and Pacific Studios of greater Los Angeles. She can be found at DancePlug.com. Laura’s work from 1996-2012 at the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Hollywood and the EDGE Scholarship Program fostered three generations of industry talent on Broadway and in film and television. Laura established her teaching style and reputation during her twelve-year faculty tour with LA Danceforce. She currently teaches with One Dance Epic and Industry Xperience. She has guested with Tremaine Dance Conventions and Competitions, Summer Intensives, and more. Laura’s work with artists Ryan Heffington, Eboni Nichols, Nicole Berger, Meagan Lawson, Brian Friedman, Mandy Moore, Michael Rooney, Brooke Lipton continues to be a source of family-in-art. She’s had the pleasure of supporting the work of performers Kate Hudson, Julia Dreyfus, Gina Rodriguez and many other film and television cast members during her long career in dance. Laura has developed movement syllabus and evaluations for both the professional and novice level dancer. Her extensive commitment to arts education has won her several foundation grants for workshops, continued education, and professional development and syllabus. When Laura is not dancing, she writes young adult fiction and hosts an online interview blog: Dancing Ahead.
