Theater for the New City presents its 43rd annual Thunderbird American Dancers Dance Concert and Pow Wow from February 2 to 11, 2018, featuring dances, stories and traditional music from Native Peoples of the Northeast, Southwest and Great Plains regions. More than ten distinct tribes are represented in the performance. The dozen-or-so dancers range in age from nine-year-old Isabel Cespedes (Mayan) to retiree-age. Troupe Director, Emcee, and educator Louis Mofsie (Hopi/Winnebago) will explain each of the performance's element throughout the show. Mofsie plays an important part in the show by his ability to present a comprehensive view of native culture. Native American crafts, jewelry will be sold in the TNC lobby.
