Dejah Lynn Poole
Born and raised in Chicago, Il. Began dancing at the age of 3 at FootWorks Dance Center where she developed and learned the foundations of dance from her teacher Antonia Bell. Her love of dance grew and she formally started training at the age of 9. She trained at The Chicago MultiCultural Dance Center under the direction of Homer Hans Bryant and later training with Choreographer and Mentor Preston Miller of The Dance Artist(TDA). She has attended several summer intensives. Master Ballet Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona, Deeply Rooted Dance, receiving full scholarships to The Ailey School Junior Division and River North Dance Chicago where she was the recipient of the Producers Society Award. Dejah is a graduate of Chicago High School for The Arts and a member of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts. Ms. Poole has performed works by Kevin Iega Jeff, Preston Miller,
Sarah Ford Thompson, Terence Marling, Brandon DiCriscio, Will Gill, Nijawwon Matthews and others. In 2018, she was featured in the Grammy Nominated Artist Letta J (Jaye Watts) Music Video.
She is currently a student at The Ailey School in the Pre-Professional Training Program.
