DEANNA JENKINS was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee where she trained in Jazz, Tap, Tumbling, Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern. She also studied musical theater, singing and acting with the Nashville Stageworks Theater. She is a graduate of Nashville School of the Arts studying dance and choreography. Deanna is also a graduate of DC Dance Factory where she was a competitive company dancer for 8 years. While at DC Dance, she served as Nick Bass’s assistant choreographer. She has worked as assistant to both Nick Bass and Matt Aylward for Adrenaline Dance Convention. She served on Adrenaline’s Hip Hop Crew 2011 and Senior Contemporary Dance Crew 2012.
Since her recent move to LA in the Fall of 2012 she has been in numerous live performances dancing and videos for various choreographers in LA namely, Misha Gabriel, Eden Shabtai, Ian Eastwood, Aakomon Jones, Jeremy Strong, Nick DeMoura,Tony Tzar, Hi Hat, Willdabeast Adams, Janelle Ginestra, Andre Fuentes, Brian Friedman, Phlex, Dejan Tubic, Matt Cady, Antoine Troupe and Nicole Kirkland, to name a few. She has performed live for Coco Jones at Radio Disney's N.B.T. She also performed with Zendaya live on the Radio Disney Music Awards 2014 on the Disney Channel as well as toured some with Zendaya in 2014. Deanna is a member of the hip hop dance company, ImmaBeast and serves as Willdabeast Adams assistant choreographer and instructor at various dance studios in LA, conventions and in music videos. She has also served as assistant choreographer for Willdabeast Adams on So You Think You Can Dance and has worked with Nick DeMoura on So You Think You Can Dance submissions as well. She has also served as assistant choreographer with Willdabeast Adams recently for Erika Jayne, director Mikey Minden. She just completed a new dance instruction video set with Misha Gabriel which is available on a new app called Codyapp--Learn Hip Hop Choreography with Misha Gabriel. She assisted with the 2015 BUILDABEAST Experience convention held in LA. She has also most recently toured with Sevyn Streeter on the Chris Brown X Tour 2015. She also performed with Justin Bieber on The Voice 2015, Jason DeRulo on the 2016 I Heart Awards, and most recently has joined the Justin Bieber World Stadium Tour 2017.
She continues to train at Millennium, Movement Lifestyle, Edge and Debbie Reynolds Dance Studios, taking classes with some of the top choreographers in LA. Deanna loves LA, is proud to be represented by Bloc Agency (LA) and so excited to have the opportunity to work hard and make her dreams come true!
