This progression requires both strength and technique. It challenges the dancer to stay long and extended while engaging muscles in various weight bearing movements.
Notes
- Squeeze neck muscles to get the hard hitting quality on "1 and".
- Raise the right shoulder and think of shooting arm away from socket as you roll the wrist.
- In extension, think of sending leg to corner of room, do not crush leg to body, extend out from hip joint.
- In floor move, expose the chest and neck in order to counter balance the movement of the leg.
