This is a warm-up exercise that is meant to isolate the upper body, and stretch the back of the legs. Being in a seated position allows you to really get a good stretch on your sides.
Notes
- For maximum stretch keep both hips pressed against the floor.
- During the contractions keep the leg turned out as you open.
- When you do the flat back section at the end, take your time getting to the flat back so you feel the stretch behind the neck.
