This exercise works on changing directions into an inside turn and controlling your energy to transfer your weight.
Notes
- Control your energy when transferring your weight from your supporting leg to the center of a second position grand plié and then back again to the supporting leg to unwind.
- Chassé into the preparation for the inside turn (don't step) keeping the tailbone in proper alignment.
- Maintain the rotation and the turn out (especially on the working leg) throughout the inside turn.
- Get into a deep grand plié in second position before you unwind to ball change.
