This exercise is designed to get you pushing into your preparation leg for jumps and turns. This can be done center floor or around the room one or two at a time (when I do this I have the dancers run in place with pointed feet while they are waiting for their turn)

Notes
  • Make sure both knees are in a 90 degree angle for the lunges.
  • Hold the arms strong from the back and twist from the sides of your body.
  • Push down into front leg to transition from lunge to standing position.
  • Make sure back is flat against the wall and knees are over toes for wall sit. Hold for 1 minute.
