This exercise is all about good balance of beats both in timing and volume.
Notes
- The most important objective here is balance of beats in space and volume.
- When executing the first round (no & counts), add a thought of breath in your hips, knees and ankles, this will encourage a little pulse as you rotate.
- Add strong claps in the second set and remember balance of beats.
- Now that we have warmed up we replace the clap with a heel on the supporting leg.
- Check in and make sure you have good balance of beats in space and volume.
- The hardest part is coming, replace the heel with a toe.
- Practice this with a metronome (95bpm is usually a good starting point).
- For fun, alternate clap, heel and toes, but only after you have mastered all of the above.
